Beautiful, age-appropriate way to explain Palm Sunday to little kids. The story is told through Ono, the young donkey, which makes Jesus' humble entry into Jerusalem feel relatable and easy for preschoolers to understand. The message that God has a purpose for everyone, even when you feel small, is so encouraging, and the illustrations make it feel extra special.
Sweetly written, a lovely story about a young donkey who was chosen to be our Lord's ride into the city. I liked the addition of Lina, the donkey's sheepish sidekick that allowed for a dialogue between them that expressed the importance of the moment to the reader. The illustrations were colorful and richly detailed and fit the story well. A great way to tell this Bible story from the donkey's perspective.
Book is okay, has a good story line. In a world where we see a lot of AI generated things, the story and pictures seem to be exactly that. The grammar, punctuation, words, etc, seem off. So okay book, I love that it centers around Christ, just seems AI generated.
